Beat Officer’s Report: Monthly crime report by Officer Rick Krug, our Beat 1 Cop, for Marina Bay neighborhood.
East Bay Center for the Performing Arts: Jordan Simmons, Artistic Director of the Center, will present a performance piece by two musicians who attend this outstanding Richmond school that instructs over 2,000 children and young adults each year in the arts of dance, music and acting. Mr. Simmons will also provide an overview of the programs and events offered at the school and the renovation of the historic Winters Building, the home of the facility, which is currently underway.
The Importance of Being Prepared for the Next Disaster: Jim Mallory, American Red Cross Public Information Officer, will discuss the programs being offered to community members to prepare them to withstand the next emergency or disaster that may occur in the Bay Area.
Landscape & Lighting Maintenance District update: Ellen Schultz, MBNC representative on the Advisory Committee for the Landscape & Lighting Maintenance District (LLMD), will provide an update on the landscaping work in Marina Bay including budget review, median work, future projects and related projects such as Bay Trail rehabilitation (see dedicated L&L menu on this website for current photos of new median plantings, new Shimada Park entryway plantings and sub-menu for Trail Rehabilitation).
